I have to say, I just got back from an unscheduled trip to CT to see my ill Grandmother for two weeks. It was a trip wrought with family drama, a little heart break, and unfortunately a heavy dose of the super nasty flu that is going around.

I got back late Thursday night after three days of exhausting travel and hit the sack. After sleeping a lot longer tan I probably should have, I woke to the smell of coffee brewing and wandered into the kitchen where hubby had sweetly set my cup next to my box of squares.

What a treat!

Thank you everyone for the gorgeous squares, they are stunning!!!! I can't wait to finish the blanket and post it to share :)

I toy with donating it to a nursing home for some sweet grandmother who doesn't have family who would visit and warm her day. Hope that's ok with you guys :)

It's a wonderful idea. I'll be donating mine, too.

Happy to hear I'm not the only one

. I got my squares a few days ago and when my mother came over today I had her help me lay them out into a throw-size blanket, now just have to put them all together. I have enough, with last Fall Swap's squares to make a couple throw blankets. Now I just have to figure out where to donate them to!

I still have the plague which is wreaking havoc on my asthma, I got a flu shot this year so hoping it isn't that. Rancher I believe your box was sent regular parcel post, while others were sent priority mail, that could be the difference.

No matter.

Please be careful with this flu thing. I get panicky when ever anyone here says they don't feel good. I think the reason I haven't been affected by colds so much is I don't work anymore so I'm not exposed as much.

I'm glad you got your shot,

Rancher

I got the flu when I was visiting my sick Grandma in CT, I also have asthma. I was pretty sure I was going to die. Please make yourself a priority!

The only thing that helped me was Tyenol and hot tea with honey. Felt so good to put the warm mug on my temples and hold it there....oh, and chicken soup! If I were there I would bring you chicken soup!!

Its been a week, and I still feel like poo, but its way better.
