And almost forgot. These are the last 2 squares i've done. I really like the pattern and am working on another in different colors now.

Oohh I like those.

very nice.

Wow. Some great squares here. It's amazing how different a pattern can look, depending on how the colors are used.

I've yet to post any pictures, but will today or tomorrow. I'll probably have one close-up to see the pattern and one as a sampler of all the color combos I've used so far.

Crocheting while driving?

Bleenie-Thank you for the chick pic fix.

Betty-Thank you for stopping by.

Love this pattern. Very nice!

These are the two on completed while driving Thursday and got another done today. My brother is here from Florida, my sister from Texas and my daughter from Kentucky. It's a pretty full house here in Hermitage so I was thrilled I even got one more done. :)

With the right color combo I wonder if this could look like a cathedral window?

Well I finished the knitted squares and will be getting ready for my trip. I'll have to have room for some yarn though. Plus I'll purchase some while I'm down there.

Beautiful! I have to say I am jealous. We are done with fall and starting to welcome winter. No more green and the horse water had 2 inches of ice on it last night. Time to plug in heaters and pray for good ski snow!

I like the colors of autumn, and I love getting out on my skis. It's the in between that I could do without!

I did find some gorgeous mitts I am going to try. Ordered the yard and pattern today!

Oh I love them they are pretty, but how would you keep your fingers from freezing off??

This isn't crochet, but it fits the theme and was in my garden today

How pretty! I have to admit that I am jealous also. The high today was 40 and rained all day. Yuck, miserably damp and cold. Now the temp is dropping, time to put on the fleece jammie pants and crochet!

I seriously don't see how you guys survive those northern areas. I find our winters very near unbearable and by you guys standards ........................... Ice 2 inches thick in Oct!!!!!!!

.

They are for inside ;) on those days where it's a little chilly. And for work. I work grave shift answering 911 and dispatching for police, fire and EMS. I get chilly, and these leave fingers open for typing!

Winters not so bad. You just have to dress for it. The horses get fuzzy, dogs stay in the house, and this will be my first winter with chickens. I hear they do pretty well.
They have a big 8x10 coop for 12 hens with lots of roost space, a raised box for sand baths, good ventilation ( I think) and I will go with deep litter for cozy toes:). I have a heat lamp, but don't plan on plugging it in unless they are getting too cold. Only thing I worry about is keeping combs from frost biting. My barred rock has a nice one! My understanding though is the good ventilation will help.
