Fall Quilt Block Swap due October 15th

Little Chicklet
They look perfect to me. Where/how are you going to be selling them? I know that the Linus quilt reps have some insurance to cover the possibility of pins in the quilts that they give away. That may be a consideration for you if you sell these. The set you have made is so pretty.

Katz, why don't you send in your Mum's name to the Alzheimer's quilt people. I emailed them with my Mum's name and where she came from (England) because most of the names will be assumed to be from the States. I was sent a lovely email in reply. Then you know that your Mum can never be forgotten.

I am sorry about your mothers. I have seen the disease but never experienced it first hand.

So ladies when is the next swap? I am behind on my "chores" so to speak. I have made one baby set and have another baby set to go & have yet to start my son's quilt. I am starting to feel more comfortable with my "new to me" sewing machine. Here's the baby set I just made (not a true quilt but a flannel rag with bibs & burp cloths to match):

I was thinking of making these to sell. What do you experienced quilters think? good or bad idea?

I think they are just wonderful and should sell like hot cakes.

I think I will do that.

Do we have any suggestions for the next swap? Colors/blocks the next swap will not be due till Jan 15th, with the holidays etc figure it will be difficult for us to meet our obligations.

I think I have it, what about doing a two block in one, meaning 12 blocks total but 6 of one block and then 6 of another and the color scheme in earth tones? Not sure what is considered an earth tone here are some suggestions

Earth tone is a color scheme that draws from a color palette of browns, tans, warm grays, and greens. The colors in an earth tone scheme are muted and flat in an emulation of the natural colors found in dirt, moss, trees and rocks. Many earth tones originate from clay earth pigments, such as umber, ochre, and sienna. Even egg plant purple, cinnamon and burnt orange

it would not matter what colors are chosen for the blocks as long as they are earth tones they will match

so what do ya think?

That's one thumbs up

You made me surf the net longer then I wanted today looking at two block quilts!!!!!! It's all your fault!!!
