@luvmychicks Glad your hatch is going well and I am waiting on pics

this is like a sneak preview as to whats to come for me in one wk now. What colors are you hatching out and did you get a showgirl?
@CJ I am not sure about a watched pot not boiling cause I only really cook every once in awhile one of the perks of living alone. Lockdown on the 17th!

SimplySplendidSilkies - now you say you live alone. your signature line says you are married so does he cook? lol
Good luck on your hatch.. as well .. we want to see pic of them also.

He is in Iraq killing bad guys! He may be home for Christmas which will be the 2nd in 12 years. So this will be a big Christmas for us if he actually gets to come home this year I am not getting my hope up yet though.
Oh I will post pics I am bouncing off the walls waiting on these little ones to start hatching, camera is charged and waiting as well.

Oh Honey I hope he gets to come home for the Holiday.. what a Christmas that will be.
I will be praying that he does. I was raised in an army family so know all about the missed holidays and birthdays and such.
I was also in the service during Desert Storm.. so I wish him and you all the best and a safe journey home. ~hugs~ to you. cj

CJ we have never known diffrent so it is not that big a deal to us. Now if he was home most years him being gone would be a big thing but, we as a married couple, have only ever seen each other once maybe 2 times a year except when I was overseas with him. That is why I don't cook. I do cook sometimes when he is home but he misses Longhorn, Awful Waffle, and Taco Bell way too much so we eat there a lot also. But thanks for the well wishes I do miss him but the chicks are keeping me very busy. I am glad he finally broke down and let me get them after 7 years of asking.
6 more days now with the eggs I really hope I do well. The bator is sitting on 99.5 and 35% right now and has held very steady with a drop to the mid 20's with humidity during the night last night and the night before not sure why. I go to bed with it on 35ish and wake up with it around 26%. I have kept a pretty close eye on it and do not leave it for more than 4 hours at the most. If I don't do well this time I am not sure I will try again. I really like the excitement of not knowing what is going to hatch and hope I do well. This is great! I will post my pics as soon as they hatch or before depends on how long it takes them to get out of the shell.

@luvmychicks still waiting on those pics.
@Donnie I do not think we can post feedback because we did not use the buy it now button.

Here are some pics. I had my daughter help me and they aren't the best but give you and idea of the cuteness that you will be having soon

I took a few individual and then a couple group shots. One pooped on my daughter so I couldn't get 17 individual pics because she was grossed out by the poo LOL

@luvmychickas Thanks for posting the pics. Did you have CJ send white? I did not see any showgirls, I did see some very cute blue, black, and buff, oh and those chipmunk strips will those be lav or splits. Congratulations on the hatch, I hope I do as well.

No showgirls, CJ did send a couple white which are in there. I need some better pics which I will get this weekend but wanted to post something

The lighting wasn't the best so neither are the pics

This was an amazing hatch for me. I bought a brand new bator (hovabator 1588) with auto turner. I never had a problem with the eggs I got from CJ I just keep having bator problems (temp spikes etc). So I decided just to suck it up and spend the $$ to get a good bator and it completely paid off

17 fuzz butts out of 24.

SimplySplendidSilkies - the chipmunk ones can be either lavender splits, partridge, or silver partridge. The 3rd pic will be either a lavender split or a silver partridge.
Black lavender splits can also be all black. Some are all black and some have lavender feather tossed here and there on the body or wings.
If bred back to a lavender roo or black lavender split you should get lavenders. Since almost all my blacks have lavender genes then I put a black lavender split roo in that pen also. And I have gotten 4 lavenders and possibly a porcelain.. still to young to tell yet.

luvmychickas - what cute fuzz butts. What a great hatch. I told you the bator was a good one. It is so easy. Thanks for sharing and can not wait for more pics. cj
