Hi all,

I have a hovabator and the fan failed. I do not live in an area where I could replace it in a timely fasion so I took a computer fan out of a old PC and rigged it to a 12 V battery. The fan pushes alot more air than the hovabator fan did and is noisier, however, the temperature appears to be holding strong.

Should I replace the fan with the hovabator model or do you think it should be fine with the jimmy rigged CPU fan?

Thanks for the advice.

I like the computer tower fans for incubators. They do move a lot more air than the hovabator, or Little Giant fans do.

As for the 12 volt battery, I suggest getting a 9-12 volt output cell phone charger, it will last, as the battery will only last for so long.

So I got home to find my Rx has spiked to 70%. Could this be due to increased evaporation rates from increased air flow? Any recommendations welcomed. Thx!
