We may already have a broody hen. HUH? These are April babies! We’ll see if she persists staying on the nest or not. She’s pancake puddled in one of the nesting boxes and fluffing up when we open the box. She laid an egg this morning (she’s been laying for a couple weeks now) and has taken over the ceramic eggs.
I’m sure she’s just doing it for the day and not actually broody. But my gosh, if she’s already broody… GIRL.
