So, I'm a newbie and happy to have this site to rely on. My plan was to start out slow with 3 chicks but Kentucky agriculture law requires you purchase 6 at a time so we are now proud owners of 2 Araucanas, a Rhode Island Red, Wyandotte, Buff Brahma and Barred Rock. And I believe hens require old lady names...Ivy, Agnes, Olga, Gretta, Ruby and Little D...I know, that's not an old lady name but she is the bully of the bunch and my kids said she's acting like a little d**k and the name stuck!
