Buff Cochin genes are alittle different then Orpingtons. Cochins are partridge based.

My Buff Orpingtons on the other hand carries the partridge gene too.

I’m not getting much variety in my next batch of chicks. I just have a few breeds I like, but they come in many different varieties. I’ve decided to get:
20 buff Orpington sexed as girls, and one boy
20 barred rocks, again sexed as females with one male
And 10 oegbs. Only barred and crele come sexed, that I’ve found, so probably a few barred, and the rest bb red.
Maybe a Cochin or two, since I need broodies.

I love the OEGBs, BRs, and the 'orpington' part of the buff orps, I think you should do lavender or jubilee lol

They are way more expensive than buffs. Cant spend that much.

I love jubilee but lav is better!
