Have you seen this slim sporty body type trait in Orpingtons before? The mom, & dad have the classic chunky look, but their son doesn't.

Maybe it’s because they’re still a project mix? You know? Like, there are still traits to be bred out of them, like the yellow legs on some? And one had that funky comb.
It is probably a result of them having some different blood in them.
It can likely be bred out.

Is it possible he also could have had a different parent?
I now see that both parents have white legs, and being no expert on shank colors, but being logical here, the son has yellow, and that doesn’t make sense to me...sorry.

Comb type improved in Second Generation. No side sprigs.

The body type is what confused me out of the parents. Skin color, & now that body type is what needs to be bred out of them besides squirrel tail.

I would've Culled Goober due to body type, but his color pattern, & comb is what I need. So he's gonna be used.
