I'd be adopting them. Took my dad up there to meet them and he really likes them. He is just hesitant about them being in the house with the other pets for those weeks since our lovely animals are attention whores and get jealous

I understand that. At my local shelter (which, by the way, is a kill shelter) the number of dogs they have squeezed in is just insane. Some dogs have been there for years.

The day I adopted my kitten, a disabled couple came in and took home a dog that had been there almost three years!
