Never seen clay so crumbly. We have red clay, but usually it's chunky.
Maybe just because it's been churned up by the ditchwitch blades. Because you're totally right- it's not usually crumbly like dirt. Its chunky like clay.
 
@MGG, my silkie girls seem to be dwarfs. They both had a medium sized mother, but a bantam dad. The girls are still so tiny, & haven't grown much at all since the last Jelly Bean update. I'm not even sure if Dwarfism is dominant, or recessive.

How do you duck owners do it? Do you sell eggs? If so what kind? Who to, and how often? How many ducks to you have?
I sell eggs for eating to a local bakery. I only have 2 ducks, so I sell them whenever I get a half dozen or a dozen. I only have the two, but I'm getting 4 more girls soon. I have a Pekin hen, and she lays an egg a day. I'm getting two more Pekins, and two buff ducks.

What about chicken eggs? How do you sell those?
