Do any of you know how I would make a diy eco glow brooder heat plate thingy? I’ve been kinda bored lately and that would be a neat project. But idk where to start.

prefer to feed a mix of growers and layers due to the low protein percentage though

I would do grower or all flock but my feed store only sells layer (16%) and scratch. they do sell super layer (22% protein) / it might be called super egg. but my flock free ranges so I figure they make up their extra protein with buggies. I have considered asking them to order me... whatever tucker milling offers for mixed flock. otherwise my boys just get to suffer extra calcium.

I could buy one but I also kinda wanna make it. I usually use heat lamps. It’ll hopefully be done before the babies hatch
