Farm chatter

And they are very good at that too LOL. Big snugglers. Nothing more heartwarming than walking out there to see them cuddled up with the sheep. :love

Probably LOL. But not looking for another dog right now ;)
Awww that’s so cute!!! We had a Lab/Pyrenees mix and he was amazing!!

And totally understandable!! Although it sure would make your job a lot easier and faster 😜

@KDOGG331 you're the dog expert....how does this sound in terms of dog setup?
Great pyr- LGS. Trained to guard birds etc.
Border Collie- herding dog. to help me with my sheep, goats, etc.
Lab and/or bernese mountain dog- friend/pet
I think that sounds pretty good!! But there are a lot of different breeds out there besides these ones and many different types of LGDs, herding breeds, etc. so I would just make sure that you do a lot of research beforehand and get the best breed for you and the right fit, which may not necessarily be the popular well known breeds.

Also you may not even need a separate breed for the friend part cause herding breeds/farm dogs can make pretty great friends on their own 😊 and most wouldn’t be happy outside alone I don’t think anyway except of course the LGD.

Also, Bernese Mountain Dogs are wonderful dogs but they are unfortunately riddled with health problems such as cancer, hip dysplasia, etc. and often only live till 8 or 9. A lot don’t even make it to 10. So I would be prepared for that if you go that route and make sure to research the breeder and buy from health tested parents (NOT just Embark. Make sure they have OFA and/or PennHip and I can go into more detail on the other tests that should be done or it’s on Google I’m sure). And make sure the line has longevity if you can like that the parents and grandparents etc. are living long and maybe have less cancer. It might be best to go with another breed.
