Farm chatter

Guys....remember about that Nailed it! Competition we were doing? Well, I unwittingly used the ACTUAL cake we were doing as an example of a zero gravity cake  We had two hours.
Here is the cake we were trying to make....

And here is the cake we made!
In my defence, we didn't have a tri piper thingy or enough icing to do a full border. I'm also pretty sure that original cake used four layers, and we only use two lol
Yes you can laugh at this lol

You’ve got a lot of room for improvement :lau

Pretty good, actually. You can definitely improve, but considering the fact that, as far as I can tell, you're not exactly master patisseries, you did well.
Now, the most important question: How does it taste?

@jwehl it seems we are ending the year together with injured pups. My dog had a run in with our angry cat and he got a pretty big gash under his eye after messing with her (to be honest, the whole thing was the dogs fault.) Well I held him in my arms trying to keep him still while he bled all over the floor, on me, and the walls, until I could finally hold his head and put pressure to his wound with a paper towel. Luckily, I managed to get the bleeding to stop and no stitches will be needed, but considering it’s a cat scratch I’m worried about possible infection. Hopefully he will be okay. I cleaned up the area and trimmed the hair to see if I could see the wound but his face is so fluffy I really can’t without messing with it too much. He’s okay now and I think he’s learned his lesson to not mess with the cats! (Perhaps that will be his one New Years resolution)

I swear if I had infinite time it would have looked SO MUCH BETTER
I don't work well under pressure lol

It does taste good. The frosting looks so weird because we ran out of powdered sugar and had to blend granulated sugar in a blender. We didn't have time to sift it, and, SHOCKINGLY, it gave the frosting a weird texture

Always do an inventory check before baking, unless you bake a lot and/or have excellent memory.
