They will. Hawks are a bad predator. You need to put up hawk netting or a run cover.

Also, Corbs I know you really want ducks but you if you don't have all the money to build their coop and run you should probably wait till you do have enough. It'd be better to wait a bit longer than to end up having all of them killed.

@Corbdee prepare for anything that might get them. Add a run cover that will not only keep out hawks, but also keep out any climbing raccoons. Then add a skirt to keep anything from digging into your run. Make sure to use hard wire cloth and attach it with something really strong. Make your run as safe as possible, because predators are very smart

If anyone ever has a wide budget, I suggest trying Omlet runs. They are the safest thing you can get and I have had 0 predators get in.

I’d have tarp on it constantly. It’d be bungeed to the run

Well I have more than enough put away for the duck eggs and stuff themselves, I just mean the coop and run went slightly over budget.
