Thank you. The AET is the automatic egg turner.
You can order a plastic liner that is molded just like the resivoir. It fits over it so you can take it out to disinfect it after use without crud getting into the styrofoam. I think it cost $7.00. What's an AET?
Here's a link but it's more than I paid I think:

I'm getting really excited about this first hatch. I got eggs from a neighbor and they were very dirty. That had me concerned. Since this my first try I decided to leave them alone. Today they went into lockdown. I have 20 good eggs, 1 rotten, and 6 that didn't develope. I'm very happy. The temp controls are OK and I had to get a hygrometer to know what was accurate. I tested it with the salt test. I'm looking forward to this Sat when they are supposed to start hatching.
Today the hatch is over. I was way off in the number of eggs. We have 15 babies hatched. 1 died after pipping. It pipped on the bottom and emitted a pool of blood. I had 6 eggs that didn't develop and 6 that didn't hatch. Of the one's that hatched we assisted one. Pretty scary stuff for a first time mom (of chicks). Once they started hatching I had trouble keeping the humidity at a good level. I think I opened the lid too often. Live and learn. Next time I will do better.
It looks like it won't fit the 4250. Did yours fit OK?
You did really well! Don't be disappointed!
Thank you for your support. I really like the 4250 and am making plans to set my next eggs. The truth is I'm pleasantly surprised that any of the chicks hatched. They were so dirty when I got them. I was bummed until they started hatching.
