Farm name help

I have gotten eggs for myself but I'm seriously considering going all Silkie. Black, white and paint are my favorites. I was brainstorming early this am considering Sunrise / Sunset S Farms/ Acres or Sunrise / Sunset Silkies

Yes, website and Facebook . Will be shipping the eggs ( in process of being NPIP certified) and selling young chicks by pickup only

Just asking.... Is there no one else in your direct area selling silkies? Reason I ask is because in my area (admittedly small) one person is selling Ameraucana and another Silkies. So whenever someone sees your birds or you theirs, everybody knows where they came from. And I see them all over the place so I can't help but wonder how long before the market is flooded and will it sustain? So as much as I like Ameraucana, I decided it wouldn't be neighborly to try and compete. And am choosing something that hopefully no one else around has and doesn't show up at the LFS all the time, Swedish Flower. NPIP is awesome, I may do it as well but haven't decided for sure yet. Still trying to figure out what my goals are because I just wanna enjoy myself and don't want it to become work.

I like Sunset, the way it sounds.... Sunrise seems in line with eggs/chickens though. Sunrise Silkies is kind of good.

Are you trying to do a recognizable logo as well?

I have 3 black Silkies right now. Adorable little fluff balls. I know one is a girl because she squawks a lot and I saw one of my SFH boys try to mate her. Can't wait to see what they all are. Wish I could tell them apart to.

The only well known Silkie people that I'm aware of around 2 hours and they breed show quality(not heard of them selling hatching eggs or Paint).
The lady I hope to get most my paint from is in MO.

Sounds like you might be safe. At the public recorders office is where you do the ficticious business name search.

The S is pretty good. And 2 hours away is plenty.

You all are way more worried about the legal/business part than I am, I guess. I'm not registered, licensed, anything like that. And I don't think the vet doing the NPIP is going to care one bit what I call my place, it's going to be under my name in their records.

Are you doing this as an actual business, or just a hobby? Mine's a hobby, maybe that's the difference. We's liked the Circle Lazy B for years. Decided it was time, went to Vista Print and printed out some business cards, started calling ourselves that. That's all we did. Oh and set up an e-mail. Working on a FB and probably a web page next spring, when production starts up again.
