Love those chicks! I'm having a hard time keeping my patience, waiting for our eggs to hatch! lol Boss put some in the incubator, they should start hatching in the beginning of next week, I believe. I have 5 eggs under a Silkie hen, just random eggs. One Polish, one EE, rest are either Silkies or Cochin bantams...could be mixes of the two also, they were all in the same pen at one point. lol I'd LOVE a Silkie x Cochin mix.

Then I have my precious BBS Silkie eggs that are now on day 4..or 5. I'll have to check.
I got my very own incubator in the mail today!!

It's sitting on the counter, temperature is stabilizing. Tomorrow, I'll move my Silkie eggs into my bator when I know it has the right temperature & humidity level and all that.

So exciting!! Soon enough I'll have a bunch of little chickies running around.

Very nice, Sanna!  I really like the shades/colors/tones in the one of the horse looking in the mirror.  Geese flying by are always neat!  Playful pooches are always fun...especially if they can chill with a hat on...:D .

Very nice, jockeyeba!  Very cute, pretty, colorful breed of sheep!
Thanks :)

Thanks everybody! Today was a fun day! It was real nice out, especially out of the wind...which is where I was playing with these chicks. I took a couple out at a time and just let them play around in the grass.

Good Luck to you, Sanna and Toast n Jelly, on hatching those eggs!...

. No doubt you both are excited!

I worked on building a chicken tractor/pasture pen this evening. I just have to put the doors/lids on it tomorrow. I'll probably take turns letting chicks and ducklings help finish it...

. ...but it will be for the Red Rangers. I built my brooders I needed....3 - 3ft by 5 ft ones....and 2 - 3ft by 8ft ones. It's going to be weird when every thing is out of them. Oh wait, I'm firing up an incubator too....BWAHAHAHA...lol. ...and hopefully my broody hen will go broody....lol. ....sad no more chicks in the feeds stores, but there is always the hactheries....hehehehe.

Part 2
Speckled Sussex pullet. This should of been up in the other post. ooooops. I just have two of them.

Red Star pullets. 3 weeks old. I have 3 age groups of future layers, but they are pretty close together.

Rhode Island Red pullets. A little over a month old.

Black Star pullets. A little over a month old

Barred Rock pullet. 3 weeks old. I should of grabbed more out of the sexed to be pullets pen from the feed store.

2 Production Reds...I think they are both roosters. This just one of them. The other wouldn't leave me...lol.
