The costumes are fun.Cool costume, I only rode them in races, never got to do the costume thing![]()
That's a lot of rain in less than an hour.I love this thread...pretty pictures and a ton of laughs! What more could ya want at the end of the day?![]()
My chores got rained out today. (Yay!!)
Actually, I WAS doing chores ...okay, okay, I was really just watching the brand new baby turkeys I brought home this morning get settled into their new digs when I looked up and saw this:
Then, I jumped up like a mad woman and started racing around to get the horses, hogs, goats, deer, chickens, ducks, turkeys, cats, and dogs fed before I got drenched. I managed that, and tried to squeeze in some garden harvesting, but I got drenched anyway. The storm hit and literally flooded all my pastures, yard, garden...everything. What a turd floater! It was awesome!!
We got 2" of rain in under an hour. Love it.
For the longest time I couldn't see the ground anywhere! (I had to steal this shot from a video, so it's not
so clear.)
I had no idea there was rain in the forecast. I guess a proper farmer would check on these things.
Note to self: check the weather forecast everyday with your morning coffee.![]()
Looks like this baby is on an adventure!
I think we both look totally ridiculous. Those aren't weird, those are really nice photos!!! Well, it is funny the horse has almost the exact same expression in each one...and it is a funny one.....![]()
I love NB. I'm harboring a secret desire to sell this place in a few years and find a nice chunk of land on the river up there. I've got one more kid to get to graduation, then I'm FREE! lol.Not to far at all. We lived in CC for two years before coming back up to NB.
We got a fair amount. Think I read on FB about 2.5 inches and that was this afternoon. I know my horses are now filthy, and all my chickens feeders had to be dumped. But I won't complain. We need rain, because we need some good hay crops.
I think you're referring to a pumice stone. And yeah, they sell 'em to clean toilets with, I believe, but they also sell 'em to clean feet! Bare footing is too dangerous around here. We have 48 Mesquite trees on the place and they drop some huge thorns that are incredibly painful to step on. And if the Mesquite thorns don't get you, the Cat Claw or Huisache or cactus or jumping cactus will! Thanks! I can't wait for the drakes to get their feathers they are suppose to have!
No need to be ashamed...lol. All the more reason to always get the craziest pj's at the store when needing to buy some..... My feet got so black last year, that I had a hard time ever getting them clean...lol. I use some kind of porous stone thing now and it works great. I'm not sure it is suppose to be used on human skin....I think it's for cleaning bathtubs???....lol.![]()
Beautiful sunflower photos! Yeah, I've heard people cuss them up here....hard to get rid of??? I like them! Real neat to look at. My neighbors have really tall ones by their garden and there is a huge field of them south of me planted on purpose....very neat to see those...they aren't very tall it seems.
No, none yet today. Forecast is showing thunderstorms from 1pm through tomorrow morning, so I guess your rain will be mine soon.AF, are you getting hit again today? We have had 3 inches since sun up. sorry crappy cell picture. Hey you don't have any SLW or BLRW do you????
These are hilarious! Love it!!
Ok, that's one serious snake killer dog there!
