My new boar there is on the road to better health now. Has lice and stuff. I'm kookin' him up though....should look a lot better here soon! Silly thing....I put him in a pet taxi and shut the truck door at the place I got him. I then was giving them the info needed for the papers transfer. He knocked the gate off of the pet taxi and right away locked the doors to my truck. Windows were up and everything. He ran around all over in there while I was messing with getting the doors unlocked with a piece of number 9 wire....as soon as I just about had it, he jumped back into the pet taxi. It was kind of a hard thing to do where he had it moved to. He must of known I was going to unlock the doors and he was going to be in trouble. I unlocked the doors, put the gate back on the pet taxi, we all had some laughs and him and I drove off. He didn't get in trouble, but I did ask him if this was a sign for things to come out of him....

. Oh the things that happen having animals....lol...I love it!!!

. Since it's cool and he can easily get out of the sun, I smuthered him in baby oil today. He's a lot of fun! Going to be a long wait for babies, but I can't wait!

Thanks!... .  I love that song too...came on while my new Berk boar there and I were headed home.  I was a singin and changin the words and he acted like he was asleep...lol.  Nice deer plot planting pics!!!  Glad you aren't lurking any more!  I find a lot of joy in growing stuff now!

Awesome! I can't wait to see her! I'm real interested in learning about them...raising them, shearing them, selling the fiber/fleece, maybe getting into making my own clothing....same with sheep. I bet she is a cutie! That is great of your mother to do that!

In another week we will see her for the first time. She is from the zoo, did I mention that? Good to know people! I am good friends with the curator of the zoo.

I really hope they are not breeding those roosters with those hens.. You won't want to hatch those eggs.. Naked chickens coming your way (frazzles). Not really naked, but with feathers so brittle they are naked in patches.. like a continuous molt. They are often weak and unthrifty as well. I would definitely ask if they bred those two roosters with those two hens.

We have an alpaca on hold! I haven't told anyone yet. It's a secret until I get a good photo of her. She was born last Monday. My mother is buying her for us as a barn warming gift. We've wanted one for quite some time. Can't wait!
