I have a new chicken friend....and it's NOT a silkie.

This little Polish lady was dropped off at the farm by a family who had their entire flock wiped out by some predator....all but Polly here. The family felt that she was lonely and instead of getting more chickens, they wanted to find her a new home with friends. And guess what! I totally wrecked their plans of not having more chickens when I told them I had 3 Cochin bantam chicks in need of a home. They took those little critters back home with them.

So, here's Polly having her first horseback riding lesson on our Connie the Haflinger horse.

Connie is great. She couldn't have cared less.
