3 is it unusual to get a curly haired calf from, I assume, smooth parents? I like the curly one, maybe it's one of those designer ones like "cow a doodles,"

btw Congratulations, Congratulations 3 well done !

My first ever set of twins!

I need to get better pics of them! I had something on the lens and all the photos were very hazy. ...probably nose juice from some critter...

first calf heifer....both babies are girls.

the calves are exactly the same except twin 1 is more slick haired and twin 2 is more curly haired. If I end up having to separate them, I'll raise twin 2 and keep twin 1 with momma...twin 1 looks like a tad better calf....but I'm going to do all I can to keep the family together.

They were born out on pasture, but got rides up to the lots to make sure all is going to be ok.

She worries about both of them

Congrats, they are beautiful! Especially love these pictures!

This is Annadale not ours but we are getting her calf she is a Tarentaise.

And this is tear drop a TarentaiseX. She is the one we are getting!!

And this is the cow we currently have she is a Jersey and her JerseyX calf .
I've never heard of that breed, but they are beautiful. I love the first picture, it makes me want to reach out and touch her, she's so smooth looking.

Thanks!

....peafowl...lol. What was funny was, I was building fence after I weighed them there and was like, WHAT IS THAT SMELL....SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF?????.....oh shoot it's me....

I know the feeling! LOL If it's not the horse stink, it's some sort of bird poop I smell like. Usually chicken poop.. But there was the one time with the peafowl poop...and chicken poop...mixed together. My 15 year old helper was traumatized I think.

She had it in her hair because our dear peahen, as I was trying to catch her to treat her for bugs etc, decided to jump and fly away....and the hen landed on the girl's head as she's yelling "I GOT IT!!" just to discover the hen had also smeared poop in her hair. lol Yup. That evening was quite eventful. I treated every single bird we have on the farm for parasites.
