Farm Related Photography. Pictures are the best Advertisement!

This is a poor quality picture, took it with my cell phone...but I thought it was funny enough to share. lol
This is my LF Orpington rooster Oliver...sleeping in a nesting box. lol He used to sleep up on the perch with the girls but he now prefers the bottom row nesting boxes.

And he usually rests his head on the edge like this. lol

I absolutely love this shot!! Can you really blame the poor guy for wanting some quality sleep time after being hen pecked all day??

A few years ago a couple friends of mine went on vacation in the black hills. rural camping, no shower and a hole in the ground for a toilet. They spent 9 days along an ice-cold mountain stream panning for gold, staying in a little backpackers tent. Then they had a 16 hour drive home in 95 degree weather with no air-conditioning in the old truck they were driving. They couldn't understand the weird looks they were getting until they were almost home. the owner of the truck determined that his buddy had a really bad BO problem due to the 95 degree weather. When he got home, his wife took one whiff, sent him out of the house, made him strip in the garage, and then straight to the shower. The next morning, he went to get in the truck to go to work, and holy cow! did it stink. Then he had to park it in the parking lot, under the summer sun for 9 hours before driving home. He claims the stink re-stuck on the way home. Took 2 days to air the truck out, with lots of air freshener.

I guess that only one of these can be considered "farm related" but either way these pics are the ones i am most proud of.

No, I don't blame him for wanting some quiet time. LOL Even though this flock all get along very nicely. Very rarely do I hear or see any disturbance from this pen. If anything, it's Oliver causing the commotion trying to breed the hens.
