They are Thistle plants, and they have stickies that attach to you, your clothes, anything passing by. They stick tight, and if they get a grip on your skin, often part of them breaks off in your skin and can travel from one side to another, causing irritation , Very annoying you don't want them in your eyes or any pets. They are a persistent weed.

I've read that the man that developed VELCRO did so after removing thistle from his dog and exploring what made them stick so tightly.

I was just hoping for a name XD haha I have actually a lot of experience with these very irritating plants they spread very easily. -.-

I spray them with Round-up in the pasture and hay field. However is the 'buffer zone' they thrive and attract butterflies and other bugs like crazy.

Our horse when he was a colt would eat those he use to choose them over apples he liked them so much but he stopped and then our neighbor said they were poisonous.....

I once got a piece of thistle that broke off under the skin(my palm) I tried mightily to remove it but it submerged. I figured it had to come up sometime, it did months later, at the far end of my palm. I saw a tiny red spot, and had some irritation. Aha, I got it that time and cursed it up and down for annoying me.
