I also have a question on peafowl for you if you'd care to answer. If you clipped your peafowl's wings how high can they still jump?
My peafowl I've seen make it at least 2 feet without a flap of the wings. I've seen it every now and then my peacock jumping 3 feet without flapping. 2 feet I see them do all the time. If you or anyone on this thread has any peafowl questions I will try to answer them to the best of my knowledge.

These aren't the greatest pictures, but at least the chicks are cute....so that makes it ok to post them, right? lol

This is my colorful bunch of babies. They're Orpingtons in the following varieties: blue, black, splash, jubilee. And, there's a little blue bantam Sumatra in there also. Then "The Lone Ranger", my little black bantam Sumatra who hatched 8 days too early. They were all supposed to hatch on the 7th (today), but Ranger came out to the world 8 days ago. I bought these hatching eggs from a breeder. I'm quite sure he had a broody hen that was hiding the egg and he had no idea. There's no way a chick would hatch 8 days early just like that. lol Anyway.. Ranger now has plenty friends, and no longer has to be the only child. Although, I think he/she has enjoyed being the only child quite a bit, because this is what Ranger has been doing for the last 8 days:
