Farm Related Photography. Pictures are the best Advertisement!

I just googled that and it brought tears to my eyes. My dad was a farmer and my husband is a farmer.
Oh my goodness! I don't have TV but
I saw this one online! Totally made me cry! I've never been a farmer or had a farmer in my family but that ad made me L

VE farmers! LOL

The second pen is larger than the first. The new pen is taller closest to the barn but then goes down ending at the same height as the other pen. The new pen is also 16' wide instead of 12'. I got the Black Australorps as day old chicks!
Ohhhh okay. I think i thought it was shorter, like length wise, but if it's wider that won't make a difference anyway. And awwwww adorable chickies!!! :D

Okay so where are you located jw. Cemanis are on our dream list to get. And I am familiar with the prices I'm just kinda curious about how far they'd have to be shipped im in southern WI. It probably won't be an option for a couple of years yet though. But ya never know ;)

Also this question applies to anyone that has Andalusians but especially bridebeliever BC I think they're stunning but have heard mixed reviews about their personalites etc. Are they very flighty?

Also our silkies are also as tame as puppy dogs however they can move man! Lol idk how they compare to our large fowl but I was trying to put them all to bed early after a hawk scare last week and I spent a half an hour trying to catch my white roo, Cotton, he was running circles around me. And I'm not a terribly had dinner but they can run like you wouldn't think they could with their goofy hop-like run. Idk maybe only my silkies move like that. DH2B says they don't move like chickens or look like chickens so they don't count as chickens. Does that mean I can have an unlimited number of silkies?

They are still Gallus gallus meaning they are a chicken. Chickens can outrun humans it's the matter of cornering them or out lasting them. I've heard Andalusians are flighty but never have raised them so can't give an honest review.

My family thought I was NUTS when I ordered the three Andelusians! They were like Mooooom, didn't you read they were flighty and not friendly?!? Well, I thought they were beautiful birds so I got them! (Chicken math was at work here too.). So because I knew their personalities could be stand off'ish I spent lots of time holding them right away. I have to say, the two grey ones (Nickel and Dime) were extra scared of us for about 3 weeks and didn't want to be touched at all. "Duck" the splash one has been super friendly with us from the beginning. She often flies up on me when I'm bent over or if I'm sitting down she flies up on my lap. I'm so glad I got them. I won't know how they'll be as adults yet because they are only 6 weeks old now. So far, so good!

@birdrain I know they're a chicken but thank you was jk /referring to how circuses used to say they were a chicken/rabbit hybrid and I'm well aware they can out run us but my silkies also tend to trip on their own foot feathers occasionally allowong e to catch up. The other day he didn't trip once he sure didn't want to go to bed in spite of the hawk

Wonderful! Please keep me up to date on their personalites and also their laying abilities when they start to lay. I have been thinking about getting a couple for white eggs as we have no white layers and I also would like a couple campines and Buttercups. But anyway I've been on the fence about the Andalusians BC of their temperaments and also everyone seems to have a different opinion about their cold hardiness. Thanks look forward to updates on them :) and trust me I completely understand chicken math. We started ordering 5 and we currently have 33 :)
