Yep. This time all black. 4 males and 1 female. Last time all red and all three were female.

Awesome! I remember I loved watching the red ones grow up! Lol assuming these are different parents? How old are they? They're so cute! I'm guessing breeding for more working dogs since the others were so popular or no? Sorry for all the questions! Hahaha

Same parents as the red pups. We are breeding working dogs. The people that bought them wanted a working dog. We show them what the parents can do before they buy. We also start training them before they're sold.

Oh that's awesome! I bet they're great workers! It's funny how the one litter was all red and female and this litter is all black and almost all male. Some litters have more mixed colors and genders so I find it funny/interesting it's almost exclusive :) I forget, did you end up keeping a puppy from the other litter or not?

Birdrain has waiting lists of folks that want his puppies.

As to colors, I used to breed cockers. First litter buff male x black female(carrying buff gene) 7 puppies 6 buff and 1 black. Repeated breeding = same parents and it was reversed 8 puppies 7 black and 1 buff) Pretty much a coin toss.

Wow that's awesome! They must be good!

I had thought he said he was keeping one though? Maybe I remember wrong or he changed his mind?

And wow that's reversed like that! I guess it really is just luck? Ir what genes feel like presenting in a certain litter? Interesting how it can be so different.
