He's 7 weeks old in that photo. He wasn't second largest pup. This is Cheif at 6 weeks old. I just gave him his vaccines. He's the largest out of the litter.

Sorry, I totally should have spell checked haha

But oh wow, that is a huge puppy! He's only 6 weeks old there!?

I forgot that I didn't mention this. My White peacock, Ice was stolen around Thanksgiving while I was at college.

So sorry to hear about Ice :( I hope you find him. I'm guessing a predator would have taken more than just Ice or left evidence? Do you think since it happened when you were at school that they knew you were at school or just a coincidence? I hope you can find him

The hens he was with were still there. No damage to the pen. Door was locked and has a bungee cord. No blood or feathers. Even when I got back from SD my hens that he was with still do a locating call. The person had to be close. First, you can't see any of my birds from the road. So you would have to know that I own peafowl. Dogs didn't attack or get hurt, so they knew the dogs well enough. Also they had to know that nobody was home. My dad left for a couple hours, he came home and he was gone. Also nothing else was touched. My Indian Blues weren't bothered. Chickens weren't bothered, pups were not stolen either. Only the White peacock was stolen

Wow that's insane! Sounds like it was definitely very well planned. That's a shame and it's especially bad if it was someone close or someone you thought you could've trusted :/ it's weird they only took him and not any girls but maybe they planned on selling him? I hope not :/

Probably wanted his feathers. There's over 200 feathers on one peacock. White peacock feathers can be sold for $3-$5 each. That's $600-$1,000 a year, every year, from one peacock.

It wouldn't be the first time I've been betrayed by someone I trusted. Wouldn't be surprised if the person that betrayed me earlier was involved.

I think another factor is that you had Ice very tamed. Somebody close knew that. Did you tell police about it? I am sick about it - people just decide they have an opportunity and cannot let it go by without benefitting from it.

That makes sense but i feel like thats not that much to steal someones bird over :/ surely there's easier or more lucrative ways to make money? Aha but i hope you can findhim. Have you checked craigslist?
