Oh that's awesome! I bet they're great workers! It's funny how the one litter was all red and female and this litter is all black and almost all male. Some litters have more mixed colors and genders so I find it funny/interesting it's almost exclusiveI forget, did you end up keeping a puppy from the other litter or not?
Birdrain has waiting lists of folks that want his puppies.
As to colors, I used to breed cockers. First litter buff male x black female(carrying buff gene) 7 puppies 6 buff and 1 black. Repeated breeding = same parents and it was reversed 8 puppies 7 black and 1 buff) Pretty much a coin toss.
We didn't from the red litter but the black litter we kept a male. His name is Maverick.![]()

We actually do. Dog genetics I haven't done as my research compared to other animals. I know all the colors Border Collies come in though.
