Oh that's awesome! I bet they're great workers! It's funny how the one litter was all red and female and this litter is all black and almost all male. Some litters have more mixed colors and genders so I find it funny/interesting it's almost exclusive I forget, did you end up keeping a puppy from the other litter or not?

We didn't from the red litter but the black litter we kept a male. His name is Maverick.

Birdrain  has waiting lists of folks that want his puppies.

    As to colors,  I used to breed cockers.  First litter   buff male x black female(carrying buff gene)  7 puppies  6 buff and 1 black. Repeated breeding = same parents and it was reversed   8 puppies  7 black and 1 buff)   Pretty much a coin toss.

We actually do. Dog genetics I haven't done as my research compared to other animals. I know all the colors Border Collies come in though.

I forgot that I didn't mention this. My White peacock, Ice was stolen around Thanksgiving while I was at college.

So sprry to hear about Ice I hope you find him. I'm guessing a predator would have taken more than just Ice or left evidence? Do you think since it happened when you were at school that they knew you were at school or just a coincidence? I hope you can find him

They're doing good. They're doing well even with the 12" of snow Wednesday. Nampa, ID usually has 1-3" of snow in one snow fall not 12". We haven't had this much snow in over 30 years.

He's 7 weeks old in that photo. He wasn't second largest pup. This is Cheif at 6 weeks old. I just gave him his vaccines. He's the largest out of the litter.
