Got my Cream Legbar eggs today! Woohoo!!

Should get the BC Marans eggs tomorrow. I'll have baby pics in 3 weeks..Yay!

If we raised chickens and roosters like this, we wouldn't have to pluck any feathers....

. Second and third picture I have posted that wasn't right behind my house here. I took these at the Missouri State fair this last year. Poor thing always had a big crowd around him. I've never seen so much poultry in one spot as I did at that fair, it was neat. He was just born without feathers the sign said.

Seriously. That is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen!! LoL What kind of a chicken is that supposed to be anyway??

Right? I don't know why I didn't start using these things sooner. After the peeps have grown and moved out, it will work perfectly for a sick bay or even a broody with her nest.
Oh yeah, something like that would have multiple uses.

I could put my cat out there for the day in the summer.

She's an indoor cat but loves being outside. I won't let her loose out there, too many wild animals out there and we live right next to a road that's well traveled. lol But I take her outside with her little harness at times. lol

My tiny little backyard was turnout last summer for our Miniature mare and her baby. They were great lawn mowers! lol

The naked chicken expresses the Sc gene (scaleless) If a chicken carries it they are missing a row or two of scales on the inside of thier legs, but when they express it they are naked. It is a natural genetic mutation/condition in some lines of chickens. I have a roo that carries this gene, but do not have any that express yet. (I would need both male and female carrierers to have a chance at an "expresser")

Hey! That's a good idea for indoor cats. Your kitty looks just like my Kiwi Kitty. Cute, cute, cute!

Found this guy hanging out on my front door this morning. He seemed to want to stay inside, but I just knew my cats would terrorize him as soon as they laid eyes on him. I love Tarantula's. They're so cool!

Sanna - I looked up the name Sanna...and yep, it means she who runs her employees with an iron fist...haha..jokin....I'm a dork. Good Luck finding an employee! Surely there is some one out there that meets that criteria??? Maybe not....lol. Yeah, might have to get that whip and step up the whoopin's...
big_smile.png
. Nobody but me has done my chores for many years now....I can't imagine hiring some one and trust them to take care of those animals you have out there! ...and I read a quote the other day while blog hoppin' ..... some thing like it is better to be absolutely ridiculous than to be absolutely boring...lol...might of been a Marilyn Monroe quote....lol.

I don't think it said what breed that rooster was....if it did, I missed it. His name was Herbie. Poor thing just acted scared, timid and nervous as heck! I also think that the sign said that they had had that happen before...so not the first time to get a specimen like that...lol. He was a sight!

Very nice pics! I like that stare off one!...

. Chewy...lol. I swear your outift out there names the animals some great names!!! ...

AccidentalFarm - "BIG box"....lol. I didn't buy a "single" chick today! I was driving home and was so proud of myself! I couldn't believe I left there with no chicks and then I remembered that isn't what happened....lol. You don't want to talk to my sponsor.....not a bit of help!...
big_smile.png
. Congrats on the eggs! That will be fun to hatch those out I bet! I can't imagine all the critters you have down there that might put a little kink in your day! ...neat picture!

I've always taken my indoor cats outside on a harness ever since I was a kid. That's if they wanted to go and didn't mind the harness.

Great, safe way to give them some outside time and more activities to keep their minds & bodies active.

You are too funny! Maybe I should tell our staff what you found out about my name.
lau.gif

I'm pretty laid back and I don't ask for much. Just do your job the best you can and that's it. I think that's fair, right? When people get hired, they know what their job description is. I don't know when it ever changed??

I like that Marilyn Monroe quote. She's absolutely right!

All you have to do is mention 3acres and they will drop in fear....then you can mold them like a fine piece of clay to suit your needs.....lol. Work is a four letter word now, Sanna...get with it...

. I think it has something to do with the ending of the good ol' milkman.....seems like things have all gone south since..I just can't put it together.... or was even around then....or know why I even said that??? hehehehahhahaheh.....

Sort of ironic that you posted some duckling pictures because I have one to post also.
lol.png
This is Lucky. I guess I have a duck now. Somebody dropped it off at the farm today. They had found the poor baby in their yard during the last snow storm we had. Couldn't find mom so they brought the duckling in the house.

Can't leave the poor thing alone, Lucky wants to go everywhere with you. I walked out of the room for a moment and he/she started making so much noise! Now it's sitting in my lap, happy as a clam.
lol.png
I know absolutely nothing about ducks, but I guess I'm about to learn.
