Farm Related Photography. Pictures are the best Advertisement!

Thanks for the info! I'll check it out! ...and may have to enter 2. I cry easy and have low self-esteem, so this might not be a good thing for me to do....

Oh PUH LEEEEEZE! Ha! Ha! Ha! Just think of it as showing off a couple more of your chicken pictures. Some people don't even know this thread exists, so it gives you the opportunity to meet even more chicken lovers!

You can change them if you find something you like better at least they allowed that last year.

Ok, I'll enter these two from this morning just to get in make sure I have something in there and try to get betters one. This is fun...lol. You're payin' my therapy when I get laughed at....

Payin' your therapy??? Don't you mean we ARE your therapy.

Just sayin'........I can't judge, this IS my therapy.

Yes, those will work just fine! Both those have good light and color contrast! I love how the light is coming through his comb and her colorful feathers. Is she a Swedish Flower hen?

When you have time, be sure and look through the other pictures already entered so you can check out the competition. I'm prejudice, but I think all the greatest photographers are right here in this thread! Aoxa entered her green human eyed pullet Gertrude to give you a hint of how good the pictures are. I love that shot of hers - it's one of my all time favorites. I know a lot of our girls are really busy right now but I hope they will put some in there to represent, you know?

I enjoy making people laugh too.

.

Thanks! She is a Speckled Sussex pullet. The 8 laying chicks I got from McMurray in April have been real slow to mature! I can only choose from what I have taken today....everything else is a 640 by 480 or so pic. I am not used to showing pics that might be able to be blown up. They look weird to me small on here. I wanted to edit them, but I think that may make them not very good blown up???

I looked at every photo entered. I won't make the 400 month calendar with the two I entered...lol. It might make me a better photographer because I am just used to shooting on the move while choring and not thinking about what I'm taking.

Yes, aoxa's Gertrude is cray neat! aoxa's photo's will be on their I bet! The girls on here can stay really busy as far as posting calendar photo's, but need to be posting in here....

3 acres love the hen in your last photo. Don't forget if you enter, you can ONLY enter 2 if you enter more, they will delete all that you entered. Surely by now you know it's all right for a man to cry. After women get over the initial shock, they think it is very sexy, and that you would make a wonderful father & stuff. You can always say you got sunscreen in your eyes - believe me that does sting and you will cry!

You know you could offer a unique presentation by taking the photos from your horse - they have to be of chickens or chickens with ducks or geese, or turkeys. But chickens have to be in it. I say this because after 11 mos. of baby chicks, chickens in front of flowers etc. Your "from the saddle" prospective would be fresh and new. Just sayin', I figure your photo would cap off the other 11

Getting ready for show. They didn't like the bath too much, but they all loved the blow dry!!!

Didn't get a dry picture of this partridge girl. I took two but they were blurry because of her flapping and flopping around. (this should have been my first clue)

Show Time (our row)! I took four of my girls. My partridge girl sulked most of the day. I could not get a decent picture of her. She was definitely my problem child. She didn't want to eat or drink because she didn't like the plastic cups - just an all around DIVA! This one decided she needed to lay an egg! The other three girls were angels compared to Miss Diva. (here's another shot of the light gray) At one point it was 107 degrees in the poultry barn so they released us two hours early. We were all panting! All in all we had a good day - stressful and tiring, but fun!

The girls got Best of Variety (3) and Reserve of Variety (1).
