second generation mealworms...................removed the last few beetles from the "mealworm farm" today and the chickens found them to be tasty treats, too. Maybe in a few months I'll have enough mealworms to harvest a few for the chickens and ducks on a regular basis. Would certainly beat paying $10 a bag for the dried ones.
 



Our bunny lives under the deck at the back of the house. He comes out to nibble on things in the yard and garden - and the dogs don't pursue him though surely they can smell him. If we catch him out and about by surprise he will hide in the sage bush until we've moved away from the path between the sage and the deck and then he'll make a mad dash for home. He's hardly grown this Summer and is still a very small cottontail.

I love cottontails and this one is adorable.
