Real nice thing you did!!! Neat all 6 hatched!
Thanks!
She's a good kid. She helps me with my horses so much it was the least I could do. Now this kid has some of the top Cochin bantam and Rhode Island Red breeders offering her free birds and hatching eggs because she lost her flock.

No idea how she managed that. lol It's nice to know there are so many genuinely nice people out there that want to help. Especially when it's a junior exhibitor.

So many beautiful pictures! These are my favorites.
Love that little helper of yours with the shovel! LOL

Wombles needs a haircut !

What range (price and focal length) are you looking for? And what do you already have?

For a cheap zoom lens I'm a fan of the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens, which you can find in the $150-$200 range. You will see various reviews online that slam it, but I've gotten a lot of nice shots with mine, enough that I ended up buying a second one :)

These are a couple of photos I took with that lens and an older model Rebel body. Minimal post processing, mainly just cropping and adding a watermark.

well I wouldn't want a lens that's over $250, am not really sure what focal length, some thing that take good focused pictured of close objects (see with my lens atm it cant focus on close things like if i wanted to get a picture of a close flower) but also can take pictures of other, less closer things.
I like your pictures! are they all been taken with the one lens?

Speaking of lenses. I want a wide angle lens for my Canon Rebel T3. Any suggestions?

I'd be willing to spent around $500 if it was really good. I do not like the 55mm that came with it, and the 55-250mm does not allow me to take close up chick pictures.

All of those pictures were taken with the 75-300 lens on a Rebel body.

If you want to take really close photos there are various macro attachments you can purchase that can turn almost any lens into a macro lens. I bought some rings on ebay for dirt cheap, less than $20, just to play with. Whatever lens I put them on looses it's autofocus ability, the more expensive ones retain that, but I wanted to play around with macro and see if that was even something I wanted to pursue further.

I think these are the ones I purchased

These are some of the macro shots I got, with various lens. I think most of them were actually taken with the macro rings on the 75-300 except the cat's eye, that was taken with a shorter lens, I don't remember which one.

I bought the cheap Marco Lenses and I must not know how to use them right, because they either come out blurry or grainy. Even when I turn the ISO down in high light outside.

Tamron, has good lenses for most camera brands. I love my 18-270 lens, it is for Nikon. I do not know what is available for canon.

Did you buy the lens or the cheap filters you put at the end of your regular lens?

Good macro's need tremor stabilizing, and /or tripod. If you got the filters and your lens is the wider diameter, they don't work well on that lens, if using the filters you really need the smaller diameter lenses.

I'm thinking of this one. My goal is to take pictures inside the house (chicks) and when I have kids of course. Seems all the wide lenses are extremely expensive.

This one has really good reviews. Reasonably priced, and I think I could take some crisp marcos with it if I read the reviews right...

Comments?

Problem is the tripod sucks. I need a better one.

I bought the ones that attach to your lens, which could be the issue. Can you check out the one I posted above and let me know your thoughts Kass?

I need an all purpose lens!!
