Yep! One of the best in my opinion. We've had other ranchers already asking for puppies from my Border Collie and we've had other ranchers ask for us to bring our dogs to help with cattle. I'll post a picture of her soon. I'll also post pictures of her with her pups when they are born too of course!

My grandpas friend bought a Blue heeler puppy that had no training but the secind he needed the dog to go get sheep it was like its instincts kicked in and he was herding the sheep! If the parents are good cattle dogs the offspring often will be too.


We have never had to use cattle dogs before. We just call and they all come running and will go straight into the corral or where ever u need them. Although theres two cows who dont like listening. They run to the gate and stop.


And heres a few junky phone pics.

Lol I sat down next to a bale feeder and my show cow from last year cam and layed by me. Next thing u know she was using me as a pillow!

And drum roll... First calf of the year! His name is Brock the Brockel face baldy!

And cows enjoying the sun.

And one of my favorite cows! She is a beautiful Tarentaise who is heavy with calf as u can see! She even has a sway in her back from the weight! She always raises the most beautiful calves! My show cow is her calf!

Nice photos! Thanks for sharing! The cows remind me of my grandpa. He had milk cows & named them all. He got so attached to them my grandma had to take them to market as he just couldn't!

Beautiful photos. I'm betting your cow will give in a month to two months. Or she's going to have a monster calf. I see you still have snow too. I'm already in spring. Haven't had any snow since late January.

I took these pics over the past two days and all the snow is gone now! She should calf within the next month I would think. Shes bred for April 1st.
