We sold an awesome gelding last year, and both me and his "girlfriend" miss him.

I got an email out of the blue from the woman I adopted my galah from, asking after her. I sent her some photos. I think it's natural to think about anyone you've let go to a different home.

Well maybe you could post an ad on Craigslist?

I know that works sometimes.

Kind of a long shot but I've seen ads for dogs, don't see why it couldn't be done for horses.

Basically they would say I sold this dog (horse in your case) to this person however long ago, maybe with a description of the animal and/or some pictures, and they'll either say that they just want to know how he is doing most of the time or sometimes they will say they are looking for him because they want him back. It is worth a shot. Perhaps you could say you just want to see how he is doing so you don't spook them (if you say you want him back they may not contact but maybe they would, who knows), and then once you get in touch you could ask to buy him back.

Hehe, not without consequences. I'd have to use his craigslist account, so he'd get an email telling him he posted an ad. But either way, I don't like to be sneaky about little stuff like that.
