Farm Swap at TSC in Lewiston Maine- May 12th, 2012

then plan on getting 8+ week old chicks because maine state law is 6 chicks must be purchased if they are under 8 weeks old only exception is if you buy at the farm.

pheasants require a permit. it's legal sales only at the swaps. the state will be watching and I know at one upcoming swap an ACO is coming to check it out.

we would like to get two baby chicks-small birds, batams, partridge, pheasants or even would consider some fertilized eggs

thank you

Thank you Mountain Top! BTW, Did you come to a Lewiston swap last year, put on by Spook? I was thinking that you might have been there, but I can't remember...

Does anyone have any interest in an adult breeding pair of Seramas? Also looking to find homes for a few different breeds of chicks all LF breeds: Buckeyes, Dark Cornish, Light Brahma, Dorking, Faverolle and a few more. All will be hatching out over the next month, so it would be a minimum of 6, but alot of different breeds to choose from.

@luvmygoats -

I am looking to add some LF hens to my egg flock. How are your Brahmas & Faverolles as egg producers?
And, Silver Appleyards! Don't tempt me. My sweetie is hiking for 6 months & I don't want him to come home to a menagerie that has tripled in size.

m.kitchengirl, both my Faverolles and Brahmas are good layers. I have 2 Fav hens and get at least one a day from their pen. The Lt Brahma hen gives me 1 every other day, nice large eggs.
