Farm Swap at TSC in Lewiston Maine- May 12th, 2012

Ooh! Rabbits! Nice!! Someone said that they might bring Pilgrim Goslings. It is posted on the second post, where there is a running tally of what is being brought and what is wanted. I will add your rabbits as a possibility to the list, and that you want geese.

I havn't seen anyone post on here lately. What types of things are you bringing.,
I just sent for my SCRAPE tags last week, and was told they should be arriving in a couple of weeks. If I get them by the time of the swap, I will be bringing
some fiber goat babied and Nubian babies.

Update on the goats. Tags are here, but all my fiber goats are spoken for, so I have 2 Nubian doelings and 3 Nubian bucklings left.

If i can get there, i'm the one with the New Zealand White male rabbits. Looks like i have 5 baby boy rabbits at this point and 2 adult males that i can bring. I will also bring a pair of 1 year old guinea hens along; anyone interested?

Ok, so luvmygoats, you won't be bringing the fiber goats, so I will take them off my running list. Thank you!!

Hello spottedbat! How loud are guinea hens? I have been told that they are VERY noisy, but today my little brother came in the house from working outside and he found 6 ticks on him!! The chickens aren't cutting it....

it is true that they are noisy, one needs to weigh the pros and cons about it. They really have better eyes for ticks more than chickens. They are not as annoying as a barking dog, and are quite prettying moving about the yard.

they aren't that noisy, or mine never were. as a matter of fact, that is part of why I got rid of them. my chickens were attacked and they did not say one word and they were in the same coop.

I am sure there are some great clips on the internet of what guinea hens can sound like, its mainly my male calling to the female that she has strayed to far from him.
