My chicks are 6 weeks old. My babies were almost out of the mash I get so I went in to the store to get a 25# bag. I usually get 50# but since they are so close to being 8 weeks I figured I would get just the 25# and then get them started on the next level at 8 weeks.
I asked for a 50# of crumbles (along with the 25 of mash)and they said they have only been carrying pellets for a while now and that my chicks should be fine to eat the pellets at 8 weeks.
Is this true?
As a side note: Poor hubby thought he was helping me out when he dumped the pellets into the container of mash that was still left and mixed it up! Thankfully he didn't mix in the new bag of mash I had just bought! LOL!
