UPDATE!!!!



Winter, our hideaway broody, has finally finished hatching!! She has 8 chicks! I dont know how many eggs she had 'cause where she was broody i couldnt reach to count!!




The three broodies :Snowball, Snowflake and Sparkle are on day 18 today and all of thewir eggs are hatching!!!


Summer has gone broody!! Waiting for my shipped eggs for her!!


Autmn as well! She is definetly sticking to it this time. She has also got shipped eggs!!



We have a new buddy here on the farm! A greater egret! He/she is still a chick, but it has a brocken wing! The chickens dont like it as they think he is a hawk!!

The grass in the chicken pen is really starting to grow nicely now!!

As i was taking pic's it started to rain!! (it hasnt rained properly for very long)


HennyPennies chicks are really getting big now!!

We just got a new batch of broilers!!


Today i got a really smal and cute egg!

Hopefully Thanksgiving I will grab one of my older kids & they can teach me how to post pics. I have been instructed a couple times on BYC, but I always mess it up. One of my friends tried to help & she DELETED pics of my broody and babies. So, gonna wait until one of the kids are in town.

Summer is a BM(barnyard Mix, that what most of my flock is made up of

) I looove her soo much, she is such a beutifull hen!!

TODAYS UPDATE!!!


Snowballs chicks have hatched!! She has got 11!!!


She has also helped me hacth a goose egg, that the mother abandoned!! Sadly this gosling has a problem with it's neck, but it seems to be getting better!!


This is my favorite chcik in her batch!!


See what i mean about the gosling?? This is her whole batch still in her nest!!


Octomoms chicks are getting big, she was hiding under our trampoline!!



Snowflake and Sparkle have still only got peeping eggs!!


We have finally gotten a brown egg (it looks more brown in real)


The flock now very happy with the windy weather today!!

Here is a pic of my Speckled Sussex rooster (Sue). He is a good rooster

and rules the roost! With 70+ chickens, he has a big job .
And here is a picture of my broody barred rock hen and her 3 babies in July. They are nearly as big as her now.
