Fast Again

My golden speckled coturnix that hatched on July 4th started laying this week. I had 5 eggs yesterday when I got home. That's at 5-1/2 weeks old...still blows my mind.

And I thought they were fast when mine laid at 6 weeks to the day.... congrats!

Mine hatched July 6th. Still nothing. No crowing, no eggs. They do growl at me when I feed them now. I was wondering if the heat would affect the laying age, but if your in Texas too, it didn't apparentely bother yours.

Got my first egg, and mine just turned 6 1/2 weeks.

I have 4 Jumbo Brown hens. Gold Speckled! Is that a variety of Golden? More white perhaps? Pic??

I had some hatch on the 3rd of July and today I found two eggs in their cage. And alot of crowing with the males. Haha its funny how they started laying around the same time for being almost born on the same day. What a coinsidence.

Mine are 7 weeks old and I just got my first two eggs today. Funny how they can be so different but the same breed.
