And I just realized from the above picture, that I neglected to mention that my brother also has a few Partridge Rocks in his flock as well.

Oh they're beautiful! What nice coloring! Are you able to keep them? I can't keep any of mine if they are boys, but luckily my brother is willing to take them. Praying I have at least one lady. My son ( he's 8 ) will be so sad if we can't keep one of them.
I don't know enough to actually help, but I can't resist commenting on how freakin' adorable your little ones are!Congrats on the hatches!![]()
I hatched these in a batch of four...got three cockerels and a pullet. They were a 'test batch' to try out a new incubator before I paid for pure breed eggs so there was never an intention to keep them. Thankfully I have found homes for all of them....one of the fav cross boys is going, along with the pullet, to my in-laws and the other two cockerels are going to friends of friends.
I then bought in some Orpington eggs in the hope of expanding my flock with a variety of coloured pullets. I have jubilee, white, blue and spangled already and have now added lavender, buff, gold laced and more jubilees.
I also bought some Jersey Giant eggs, hoping for a pullet and also a cockerel to help my current boy keep the girls in order and to breed. Sadly, I only got one chick out of the Jerseys, too young to tell sex yet, so I then had to borrow a couple of Legbars from a friend to keep it company.
This means I now have 14 adults in a variety of purebreeds, 4 ten week old 'mutts', 10 seven week old Orps and 3 three and a half week olds...the Jersey and his two Legbar friends.
As I only have a coop capacity of 24 adults, I'm going to have to figure out my chicken maths I guess and find some more homes for some of my precious babies!!
i have three fav roosters, they sometimes try and be dominant but the girls quickly let them know they rule. they are skiddish with me but not a bit over bearing. i cant help but like them, we dont want them and dont need them right now, we would rather have the eggs, but cant part with them. such a fun breed to just sit and watch. when they run they waddle and look like football player with their heads down and wings out
Dad is on the light side so you'll want to wait until you get a fairly feathered chick before you try to sex them. I have been fooled a few times by light colored cockerels.
