My little baby was the only one that hatched out of 5 chicks it was 2 days late and didn't really show distress hatching. It is in brooder separate from others in there in fear of pecking it. I believe it has a vitamin b deficiency which I been giving vitamin b complex crumbled in water by a syringe. It will not eat or drink on it's own it is 4 days old. It did eat a few bites of boiled yolk and crumbles but that's it. I was wondering if i did molasses water would that stimulate it? I have ordered some Rooster Booster brand Poultry cell and it has shipped, i had made a bandaid sticky tape sandwich for the toes but removed it yesterday it had been on since Monday May 4 I don't know what else to do. This is a hatch from shipped eggs not my own flock. I have also reached out to the seller asking questions and of course no reply. Thanks everyone looking forward to your comments. I don't want to loose it and I don't want paralysis to set in it is in both feet

Oh it has not pooped either and I have been checking on pasty butt, nada. I thought its not pooping because it is not eating. Should i be concerned on that issue also. It peeps alot but doesn't sound as in pain.

Oh my gosh, try not to worry. I’ve never experienced this before but it could be due to the egg been shipped? At least the baby has had something to eat, even if not much. I’ll tag some people who can help and good luck, hope he/she gets sorted out ok: @DobieLover @Tre3hugger @diamondsilkies @Hen Chatter
I've not dealt with anything like this. But I'm inclined to think that it was late hatching due to something more fundamentally wrong with it.
Keep her warm, try to get the extra nutrient boost into her when it arrives and keep her hydrated. Don't actually syringe water into her beak as you can aspirate her easily. Put a drop of water on the tip or edge of her beak and let it wick into her mouth so she'll swallow it.

that is how im doing it. I'm afraid of putting anything directly into the beak. It's warm i have the tote with holes (from Dollar tree) close to the heat source in the brooder, the little Black Copper Marans run around and I believe talk to it. What about the sugar water would that help...
Thanks everyone

In the absence of a poultry nutri-drench type supplement, you can try the sugar water for an energy boost. If that perks her up enough to eat, offer her a wet mash with a bit of scrabbled egg yolk in it.

will do thanks I couldn't find any real recipes so i did tall glass of warm water added 2 1/4 tsp of sugar. It drank nearly and i mean nearly a full syringe of the water it still declines little pieces of crumble fixing to make some scramble egg yolk for it now. thanks for the help

Faulty incubation temperature can also result in curled toes, which may be why it was 2 days late.

In addition to trying to get the chick to eat, you should put some chick boots on those feet to try to get them to straighten out. It's much easier the younger they are.

Here's one thread on it: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/chick-shoes.471771/
yes she (i call it a she) has had shoes on since birth except yesterday, I made some and put back on today.

Ok i made a wet mash out of raw egg from my chickens and ground up a bit of crumble feed she did eat a little of that. She has alot of gumph and i can tell she doesn't want me to give up on her and I won't. Thanks for all the suggestions please keep them coming i am willing and trying to whatever anyone suggests one of these will work.

If it hasn’t eaten give it honey sugar water and high cal foods or mix starter with water and feed through syringe. For its feet I’ve never seen anything like that but maybe try giving E B vitamins and selenium it can help with this kind of stuff.
