Here is Phoebe at 22 weeks. Won't let me near her, roosts under the coop. Should be close to laying. I don't know if she knows to go in the coop to lay. Fingers crossed...

Hi all, just sharing pix of my first year hatching bantam salmon faverolles using a broody d'uccle. Much better success than using an incubator. This pair is 4mths, and going to a new home in upstate NY tomorrow. Papa won 4H best bantam at Dutchess County Fair in 2020

II have one Salmon Faverolles chick named Peanut and I love it so far! It is an amazing, curious and funny chick!

And a sad update: Peanut passed on the 8'th of April 2022. RIP baby

Also, i feel the need to say this: People seem to just think certain breeds are dumb and thats NOT true! Silkies, Faverolles, etc. ALL chicken breeds, every single one, is beautiful, smart, and amazing! Just in their own special way.

Goldie is just turning 4 months tomorrow! Her beard is really dark in comparison to most SFs I’ve seen, and her coloring is also a dark color than most SFs. She’s so pretty though, and I like how different she looks from all my other birds. She also talks nonstop! The entire time I held her she sounded like she was complaining about it under her breath She’s very sweet and gets along well with her teenage siblings, an Orloff, a marans, an Ameraucana, and an EE.

She’s very cute! My faverolles actually started out with a pretty dark beard too but after her final molt it turned white! I also loveeee Russian Orloffs!!! I want one so badly!!!

I wondered if that was possible, but figured she was just hatchery quality I think the beard looks so much more fun when it’s white and contrasting against the darker feathers

I so far love my Orloff too! She isn’t very spangled yet, but I know the first molt usually changes that some. I read a lot about how they’re so independent and not cuddly and such but she’s been just as sweet as my SF and she’s adorable she was also the most adorable baby hehe. I definitely recommend them to beard loving chicken people
