Faverolles Thread!

Just getting back into chickens again and when I first saw Salmon Faverolles I immediately added them to my list. Although I ended up with a mix of breeds because I wanted to see which breeds I liked best the Salmon Faverolles are becoming my favorite! Here is Sigrid and Fergus who will be 5 weeks exactly tomorrow:

Sammy is so dumb! I was washing him today for his upcoming show. He likes to put his head down when he's scared almost like he's hiding. The moment I put him in the wash his head shot down, *tiny dunking sound, followed by gulping noises* I yanked him back out of it, (prior to that I had washed 2 birds that had done the best job holding their heads up) put him back in (holding his head) after a few minutes I stopped supporting it), and you know what happens next. (At least he knows to wash his beard but he doesn't need to drown himself! ) Him when he didn't need me to help him

Washed his feet again yesterday and despite there being only 3 inches of water in the bucket he still tried to drown himself again! guess he won't ever learn a lesson.

How do you sex Faverolles? I am thinking that Peanut is a pullet. She has a pullet-y body positionand her personality is very bossy. I did sex silkies this way and it worked. What do you think?

What color are they? If they are salmon girls will be tannish and boys will have some black eventually.
