Faverolles Thread

It certainly was. I highly doubt it would have ever produced offspring, however it certainly was interesting. Too bad none of us thought to get a picture.
Yeah I bet it wouldn't have produced offspring. It was certainly partially of each sex. Very strange. Yeah to bad we didn't ever get a picture. I had my camera and everything haha.

Hey guys so snapped a few quick pictures of the boys. I will get better ones when they are all settled in. I already see a clear winner compared to the other two. But we will see if you guys agree. They are still very young so can't really judge color yet as its still all over the place. The the beard and muff and comb and just general body shape on one of the birds is my favorite. He has a big blocky head and just stood out for me from the other two. We will see in the end though. I will take some more posed pictures. Also couldn't get any pictures of male #3 but I will try again in a bit.

This is rooster #1 he would be my first choice. He has a nice heavy beard and muffs. A good comb although he has one extra point. He is the largest of the boys and has nice dark color. His toes are just alright though.

This is male #2 He is the one that I like the least. He doesn't have a great beard or muffs. He has good toes. But he has a sprig at the end of the comb and is smaller then the other two males. He does have the darkest saddle color but that could also change as the other two matures.

You can see the sprig here

Male #3. Dark color. Good toes. Decent beard and ok comb. Nice body shape but don't like it quiet as much as I like male #1. He does have better toes. He is a bit smaller though.

Let me know what you think I am guessing I just need to wait for them to grow out a bit,
Henry

What do you think of the other two? its hard to tell at this age. I think #1 could be alright. Got to see how their color turns out. Still have a month or two to finish up.

It's hard to tell at this stage. I've got pictures of some of mine, but can't seem to load them.
That is strange. I had trouble at first but figured out the new system. I guess you just press the little picture icon in the box where you post and upload the picture. I would love to see some of yours at a similar stage for comparison.

Got a bunch at the same age right now, plus some older ones. First one I hatched out this year is MUCH wider than his dad. I'll try again later to post pictures. Maybe then I can get it to work.
