Faverolles Thread

Hope everyone weathered the storm alright. It was totally fine here in the Champlain Valley. Not any damage to speak of and the power is still on.

Our hearts and prayers to all that are affected...May we all reach out to those in need in ways that we can. These storm events are so far reaching, impacting many other parts of the US. Some of the work that i even do had been canceled here in Seattle as well...Keep Safe, eliz

I hope everyone weathered the storm well! We were fortunate that nothing drastic occurred around RI! Just allot of wind and rain! But I was just wondering if anyone was planning on going to the Boston Poultry Exposition November 3rd and 4th? I'm bringing 5 Faverolles and my sister is bringing a Sultan and 5 Bantam lemon blue Cochin's! I was just hoping that there would be some other Faverolle breeders at the show other than my own! Ive never seen any other Faverolles in person other than ours! Thanks hope Hurricane Sandy hasn't been to destructive!

I will have to remember the Boston Poultry Expo for next year. I have a sister in Boston area that I could visit and also go to the Expo! Hmmm....planning for next year already.

Its on my list to attend but I won't be bringing birds and with all the planning I have to do to coddle BF through taking care of the chickens for a day/night I am beginning to wonder if I am really going. It would be nice to see a few BYC name tags though! :)

Sure we do!! High tide around the beginning of May, low tide beginning of October

Can get some nasty steep, short period, waves in a 30 knot wind though.

Haha true true the level does change a lot.

Yeah I went swimming on a windy day last summer and it was pretty tough getting out there.
