Sorry to hear. At times it seems we always lose our favorite birds. I have an old hen that is wheezing. All I do when I have that problem is stick a piece of garlic down its throat. Garlic is a natural antibiotic and i believe it also takes care of worms if the bird has any. Not saying it will save the bird but at least it gives it a chance. I wish I would have posted this sooner.

Thats interesting Dick. Haven't tried that for birds but we used to put several cloves down the organic cows I work with's throats if there is anything going on with them.
 
Henry, I have heard this recommendation of Garlic numerous times from 'old timers' and those in the know... I don't know Mr Dick so I will assume you are in the latter not the first category. I hope you are fine with it.

Haha. I would say Dick is a bit of both haha. Hope Dick doesn't disagree. But he has been breeding Faverolles for a while and is a Master Breeder.

HA HA is right. I guess I am an old timer. Will be 66 in November. Can't wait to retire. If my health stays with me then I can get back into showing. Hope everyone has a great holiday.

Thank you Mr Dick for being so good natured about my not assigning you an age. You are my elder but you have a while yet before you are an old timer... at least in my book. Doesn't mean you don't know your stuff, just covering my social bases here.

My cockerel is almost ready to look like something other than a calico kitten. Pictures soon :)
