Oh and just wondering are faverolles big eaters or something? These guys have seriously barely come up for air all day. They have just eaten and eaten and eaten.
It wouldn't hurt to ask the feed store about their Roo policy. Many will trade for another chick or store credit if you bought it there since *you didn't get the sex that was advertised*. granted there will always be a risk since sexing isn't 100 percent. Too young to make judgements on her....Thanks for the advice. They did get sexed chicks, so I'm told she is a she. But she is getting a comb much faster than the other breeds. I wasn't sure if it was a breed thing, or if we might be stuck with a he that we'll have to get rid of since no boys allowed in our area.

My three new Faverolle cockerels from Keesmom arrived yesterday! They are so gorgeous and HUGE compared to mine around the same age, super mellow and friendly too! I think they will do wonders for our flock, especially the lack-of-red problems we've bee having with our current flock daddy. Our one little mixed breed, half Faverolle and half looks-like-NH girl, has decided that all three of the new boys are her personal heating pads, and is snuggled up to them most always (when she isn't trying to roost in my hair, or falling asleep on the neck of my husbands guitar).
One of them has a wonky feather above his eye (mussed in the crate, i think) that gives him a perpetually vaguely-concerned expression. Its hilarious.
We are totally smitten with these boys, thank you keesmom!
