Hey, thanks Melissa, I have the perfect ratio! I think I have 2 cockerels and 6 pullets! The pullets' wings are so long right now that they look like they've outgrown the chick. Pics to come soon.

Thanks for the prayers. I am actually about done. I should be back stateside in about two weeks, thank God. This is my third and FINAL deployment. I was actually out of the army for two and a half years, but I was involuntarily recalled back and sent over here. Oh well. By the first part of April I am picking up birds and taking them to my parents house until my wife and I move and get a place set up. My dad has agreed to take care of them for me. Of course he's thinking maybe a couple dozen. I didn't tell him I was bringing about 350!
Surprise!!! Do you think that you will have blue salmon eggs in May still? That would be the earliest I could get them I think.

Now you got your Dad into this????? Oh you ARE an enabler!
Now, come on home!!!! We want you boys home BAD!
That's okay, I've had my dad help me before. When I was growing up, he was my taxi service to shows. He took me to 3 other states and footed the bill for the fuel, food, and hotels. He supported my hobby then, and reluctantly now.
Here is another pictures I wanted to show you guys.
This is the pullet I got from Jeff Oxley she is looking better and better as she fills out she is molting so isn't looking her best but I am excited to use her when she starts laying.
Then this is my hatching/ incubation set up.
I went from no incubators to owning 3 in about a month now I have the hatching bug bad I have 3 faverolles chicks from ugly ducky in the brinsea and I have 8+ bantam black Ameraucana from Cloverleaf and 2 test eggs due the 25th. I am also bidding on the silver penciled rock bantam eggs now and plan to get 2/3 wyndotte pullets at the show.
Here are my adorable salmon / blue salmon faverolles chicks from my first ever hatch! They are almost 3 weeks old
and are doing great!
I have 5 total and I think I have 3 pullets and 2 roos.
Here are the ones I think are my 3 pullets...
and here are the 2 I think are my roos...
I would love to get feedback on what others think about these... I'm not so secure about my ability to tell them apart and I keep second guessing myself... one thing I am sure of is that they are all cutie pies!!!
Amy
