Dick,
How old are the chicks? and are they roosters or chickens, or too eairly to tell ?

I'm looking for some chickens.

Thanks

What exactly are you looking for.

Just wanted to say "Hi" to all the other Faverolle Fans out there

Just recently heard about this thread (Thanks Cindy). Haven't been able to check out all the posts but looks like lots of info. My Daughter actually started with Faverolles almost 5 years ago and really loves the breed, her male "Bobby" (which she hatched from her first trio) has done many showmanships, public speaking and been her demo bird at 4-H club meetings and TSC events. Bobby is now retired from the showing and making babies and she has a younger one growing up to take his place

She has been very interested in all the new colors she has been seeing with these guys. Once her building is finished she would like to work on some of the other colors also. Figured it was time for her to also join the club so sending that in too.

Hi Laura! When you get a free moment (yeah right!) you should post a pic of the splash boy.

Will you still be at Shay's on Sunday? I can get the red boy(s) from you then.

Was actually going to try to take some pictures today, day off from work but not cleaning here

Yes, we will be at Shay's and will bring the boys, looks like there are actually 4 right now will look at them closer today. I think Sarah is going to take one of the three she got from you Saturday for 4-H days, she likes the little Blue Salmon boy

Her Salmon girl is molting, she's going to take her too so other 4-Her's can see what not to bring for showmanship....

I would use this old saying on lf fav male size. the bigger the better the tighter the sweater as long as you keep your type. 9lbs? you need to keep that boi an breed the pooh out of him!

we don't use scales in the showroom and i certainly don't think there'd be a penalty on that bird for it. What about you Dick?

if emmet just gets too big for you, keep him till late fall and i'll be ever so happy to give him a retirement home in the fl warmth for $$$.

peter

Yes, I agree. When I started with large Fav's I was lucky if my males hit 7 lbs. then. The bigger the better.
